No comic this week. Sorry, everyone.

Nope, no comic today. But feel free to watch me blow into my milk.

Ever Dance With The Devil In The Pale Moonlight?

Posted by Wes Decker on July 21, 2008

Late comic can be blamed on Artista, who was too busy with ‘life’ this weekend to draw. *bitter grumbles* Just kidding? I love ya, Arty?

Anyway. Go see The Dark Knight. This is not optional. It is imperative. Knowing my friends and our readers, most of you already have. Go see it again. It’s just that good. Clearly it is, as I am still in shock and awe; so much so that I couldn’t even write a comic for this week. I do, however, like what we’ve got for you. If you couldn’t tell, we here at RHoM like the villians better than the heroes. Besides, if we did the heroes, one of them would end up being Robin. I enjoy the concept of dressing the characters up in costumes, so expect to see more of that. I like to give Artista challenges, too. Yay.

I think this strip marks the first time the whole Household (plus Gene) appears in a strip together. Clearly this is cause for celebration. Everyone break out your party hats and streamers. It’s gonna be a wild night. See you kids next week.

I’m a dog chasing cars,

PS omg.
PPS If you missed out on for free, I am truly sorry. Go be a good little fanboy/girl and give Joss Whedon your four dollars on iTunes so you can watch it. This is even more imperative than seeing The Dark Knight, and it’s a good deal cheaper!

There She Goes Again!

Posted by tehartista on July 14, 2008

Well, here we are again.  Blogtime!

Wait, I’m not your normal every week blogger!  Look out, ladies and jellyspoons, Artista’s on the loose!  Bwahahahha!!

*Ahem* Sorry about that.  Little power trip.  I’m over it.  In reference to the comic, I really was sincerely disappointed by the Golden Compass movie.  Ask Phoenix, he was there when I experienced it.  I was literally super psyched up for the next part, and then it effing ended!  I was so shocked.  Of course, anyone who hasn’t read the books (which are fabulous, btw) by Philip Pullman, wouldn’t understand my outrage.  It’s an anger similar to, and perhaps surpassing, the grinding of teeth at the Harry Potter movie phenomenon.  But as few must realize, spectacular animation can’t make up for butchering an entire series of books and Disneyifying them into movies.  Of course, I’ve heard they aren’t even going to make movies out of the next two, which doesn’t surprise or disappoint me, especially where they decided to end it.  Super lame.

Well, that’s the rant of the week.  It’ll be back to good ol’ Phoenix next week, thank the comic gods, for all of your sakes. Thanks for putting up with the slight lateness and silly content of this week’s comic, but I suppose it’s not that different from usual.

Until next time… I’ll be here all week, be sure to tip your waitress, unless you’re Mr. Pink from Reservoir Dogs,

PS: I had to check the spelling of “reservoir” like 3 times.  Weird word.

Paved Paradise

Posted by Wes Decker on July 7, 2008

I apologize not for the lateness of the comic this week, but for the prerequisite level of nerdiness you must have in order to fully appreciate it. It’s a WoW reference, and for that I am sorry. It just seemed too good to pass up, what with the new California cell phone laws in place starting this month. Leaves your hands free to do other things, like texting, typing on your laptop, putting on your makeup, shaving, putting on your clothes, taking off your clothes, taking off a passenger’s clothes, or you know, driving.

Switzerland, (not the country) one of our associate writers here at RHoM and the inspiration for the character of Eugene, is going through some rough times right now. I don’t know, nor do I particularly mind, if any of you are of any particular faith or not, but please keep Switz and his family in your thoughts, prayers, etc, be they directed at Jesus, the Greek pantheon, Qui-Gon Jinn, or whomever. I’ve known Switzerland for quite a long time, and have the pleasure of calling him one of my best friends, so my thoughts are certainly with him. Hang in there, buddy.

Well, kids, that’s it for this week. I won’t see you next week, as I’ll be gone for a bit and Artista will be in charge of putting the comic up. Don’t let her burn down the house or nothin’.

Life is very short and there’s no time for fussing and fighting, my friend,

PS Playing “Margaritaville” on Rock Band is the best thing ever.
