“Power, Wisdom and Courage” Would Be A Good Band Name

Posted by Wes Decker on January 26, 2009

The gang went shopping. You can tell it’s the same day because they’re all in the same clothes, clearly. I decided that a strip of them saying, “I think we need to go to the store.” “You’re right! Let’s go.” “Yes, let’s shall.” would be pretty lame. So we’ll fill up this week’s blog with that lameness instead, and give you some nice video game humor in the comic proper. And don’t you worry, you’ll see more of Gene, Neph, and Captain Bob soon. Oh, also the eventual return of MYSTERY GIRL. Keep your britches on. You too, ladies.

Keep an eye out on the rest of the site, such as our Comic Archive, a quick and easy (and updated weekly!) way to check out the newest comic without cutting through all this blog nonsense, our characters page with info about our crazy cast and soon to be updated with ZOMG PICTURES, or maybe even our comic info or author info pages. That’s all the self-promotion for today. I’ll let Artista promote her art blog on her own frakking time. See y’all next week.

Mmm… Popsicles…

Posted by Wes Decker on January 19, 2009

Holy crap why is that place so bright. Also two new characters in one week! Alrighty then. I’m thinkin’ it’s about time to give some “classic” characters some love. Switzerland has been on my case about the absence of Eugene in recent comics. I’ll see what I can do, buddy.

Did everyone enjoy their holiday weekend? It was nice to have an extra day. We’re using that as an excuse as to why our comic is late. So there.

Happy Inauguration Day tomorrow! I don’t need to tell you how wonderful and equalizing and whatnot it is. Just turn on the tv, log on to the internet, or open a paper, or something. So… I’ll talk about something else instead. How bout them cylons? Pretty frakking intense. Eh, who am I kidding? Tune into the inauguration tomorrow. History in the making, etc. Hope we’ll watch it in class…

The four right chords can make me cry,

Phoenix

PS Anyone else hoping that this movie would end up being something like “The Adventures of Batman and Boromir”? That’s something I’d watch.

Gahh Frakking Title

Posted by Wes Decker on January 12, 2009

My gods there is something about that color of polo shirts that screams, well, something. You can fill in the blank as you wish.

Spring semester started today for me, hense the late-ish post. Well, it’s still Monday, so it’s not late. We’ve been on time or early every comic this year so far! Whoo! Let’s try and keep that going. That’s our resolution to you, the readers. In return, your resolution to us should be to tell EVERYONE YOU KNOW about our comic. Spread the word, people!

Well, if you will excuse me, I’m feeling a little under the weather. That’s all the blog you get for this week, people. See you next week, with exciting new developments for our heroes!

When I’m sick, I stop being sick and be awesome instead. True story.

I Will Make It Through This Year

Posted by Wes Decker on January 5, 2009

Wow. Sorry for that SUPER CORNY and probably expected punchline. Deal with it.

How was everyone’s holidays? Relaxing? Good. I had an inch or two of snow on Christmas morning, so that was nice. New Year’s Eve didn’t go exactly as planned. My pessimism immediately kicked in and I figured, “well, at least 2009 can only go up from here.”

As the night went on, I realized that no, that’s a terrible way to look at it. I was spending the first few minutes of 2009 helping a friend in need, and really there’s nothing better than that. This will be a good year.

Also, when did the film industry decide that whenever you have a group of vampire thugs, at least one of them has to be a black dude with dreads, and one of them has to be a grizzled young white dude with long hair?

Ah, flashback humor,

Phoenix

PS Good lord 1999 was ten years ago.
PPS Thanks for all those views on New Year’s Eve, all.
